Our Story

Crafted with purpose.
Worn with intention.

Since 2014, ClothingCo has been building a quiet legacy — one exquisitely crafted garment at a time. This is the story behind the seams.

The Founder

Elena Marchetti.

Elena grew up surrounded by fabric. Her grandmother ran a small tailoring shop in Florence, and by age twelve, Elena was sketching her first patterns on the margins of school notebooks. She went on to study fashion at Parsons School of Design in New York, graduating at the top of her class before working under two of Europe's most revered couture houses.

In 2014, she returned to New York with a clear vision: to create a brand that honored the slow craft of European tailoring while speaking to the modern woman's need for versatility and ease. ClothingCo was born from that tension — the exquisite and the everyday.

"I didn't want to make clothes people would wear once. I wanted to make pieces they'd pass down."

What We Stand For

Our Values.

Slow Craft

Every garment takes between 18 and 40 hours to complete. We refuse to rush quality. Our Italian mill partners have been supplying natural fabrics to European couture for over 60 years.

18–40 hrs

Per Garment

Conscious Sourcing

We source 100% natural fabrics — silk, cashmere, linen, and wool — from mills certified for environmental responsibility. No synthetic blends. No shortcuts.

Timeless Design

We design for longevity, not trend cycles. Each piece is tested against our 10-Year Rule: will it still look relevant, feel beautiful, and hold its structure a decade from now?

The Atelier

Our New York atelier employs 28 skilled artisans. We offer living wages, full benefits, and a profit-sharing program. The people who make our clothes matter as much as the clothes themselves.

The Craft

Made in our New York Atelier.

Located in the Garment District, our atelier has been our creative home since day one. We chose to keep production local — not as a marketing statement, but because proximity to our makers is fundamental to the quality we demand.

Visitors are welcome by appointment. We believe the most powerful thing we can show a customer is the care that goes into every stitch.
